About Our Town

Surrounded by majestic mountains, our town is community minded, family-oriented, friendly and safe. From popular restaurant chains and shopping centers to locally owned businesses and boutiques, Bluefield, Virginia truly offers something for everyone.

In this four-season community, you will enjoy many events, including the Autumn Jamboree Festival and Annual Community Christmas Gathering, just to name a few. During the summer and early fall, we have a local Farmer’s Market that is open every Friday. Stick around Friday evenings for local musical entertainment at “Evening Shade”, in the downtown area. On Saturday nights, folks come from near and far to watch outdoor movies during “Sunset at the Square”. We also have a wonderful Recreation Park that is great for picnics, reunions and parties. Graham Recreational Park offers picnic shelters and amphitheater,walking trail, playgrounds, tennis courts, volleyball area and baseball field. When the weather turns warm, Harmony Acres swimming pool is the coolest place to be. Graham Recreation Park and Harmony Acres Swimming Pool are open to the public and available for reservations.

Fincastle Country Club

Fincastle on the Mountain is unique because it is located in the Greater Bluefield Area. Bluefield is known as “nature’s air conditioned city” where free lemonade is served in town when the temperature reaches 90 degrees or greater.
